Who We Are
MojLekar.sk is a doctor search platform operated from Vienna, Austria. We help patients in Slovakia find the right healthcare provider by specialty, location, and insurance.
What Data We Collect
We collect and process the following types of data:
- Doctor profile data — names, specialties, practice addresses, office hours, insurance contracts, and languages spoken. This data is sourced from publicly available registers and directories.
- User account data — if you create an account, we store your name, email address, and password (encrypted).
- Patient reviews — when you submit a review, we store your name (or display name), email address, rating, and review text.
- Technical data — IP addresses, browser type, and pages visited for security and site functionality purposes.
Legal Basis for Processing
We process data under the following legal bases (GDPR Article 6):
- Legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f)) — for processing publicly available doctor data to provide our directory service.
- Consent (Art. 6(1)(a)) — for user-submitted reviews and optional account creation.
- Contract performance (Art. 6(1)(b)) — for providing services to registered doctors (e.g., premium profiles).
Cookies
MojLekar.sk uses only essential cookies required for the website to function properly (e.g., session management, language preference). We do not use tracking or advertising cookies. If we introduce analytics in the future, we will update this policy and request your consent.
Data Retention
Doctor profile data is retained as long as the doctor is actively practicing. User accounts and reviews are retained until you request deletion. Technical logs are automatically deleted after 90 days.
Your Rights
Under the GDPR, you have the right to:
- Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Rectification — request correction of inaccurate data.
- Erasure — request deletion of your personal data.
- Portability — receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
- Objection — object to processing based on legitimate interest.
